GUIDED MEDITATION TRAINING FOR THERAPISTS

A practical way to help clients reduce stress, restore balance, and reconnect with themselves

As wellbeing practitioners, many of us see first-hand how deeply stress affects the people we work with. Clients arrive carrying emotional pressure, mental fatigue, and a nervous system that rarely has the opportunity to truly rest.

Meditation is one of the most effective tools for supporting this reset. Yet for many people, sitting down to meditate alone can feel difficult or unfamiliar.

This is where guided meditation treatments can make a meaningful difference.

At Tri-Dosha, we developed a structured Guided Meditation Treatment and Training Programme designed specifically for therapists, spa teams, and wellbeing practitioners who want to introduce meditation into their professional offering in a practical and accessible way.

The training takes place over three live online sessions, each lasting four hours, allowing participants to learn both the theory and the practical techniques required to deliver this treatment with confidence.

A treatment designed for the modern wellness client

The programme teaches a 60-minute guided meditation treatment that can be added to a spa menu or holistic practice. The treatment works through five carefully designed stages that help the client transition from stress into deep relaxation.

1. Connect

The treatment begins with presence. By offering full attention and a calm, supportive environment, the therapist creates a safe space for the client to let go and settle into the experience.

2. Shift

Gentle whole-body movements are introduced to stimulate circulation and release stagnant energy (known in Ayurveda as prana). These movements help loosen tension in the body and bring awareness back to physical sensation.

3. Cleanse

A salt foot bath is used to support the cleansing of the body’s energetic channels, or nadis. In Ayurvedic understanding, the soles of the feet reflect the entire body. Combined with gentle marma point therapy, this stage helps restore energetic flow and support the body’s natural healing processes.

4. Nourish

Breathwork becomes the focus here. Deep belly breathing through the nose activates the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging the body to move into its natural “rest and digest” state. Heart rate slows, blood pressure reduces, and the nervous system begins to regulate.

5. Deep Relaxation

Finally, clients are guided through Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR). By consciously tensing and releasing different muscle groups, the body becomes aware of stored tension and learns how to let it go. This process encourages deep surrender, supporting optimal immune function and overall wellbeing.

Designed for therapists and wellness facilitators

One of the unique aspects of this training is its accessibility.

The programme is suitable not only for therapists but also for spa hosts, reception team members, and wellness facilitators. With no prerequisites required, it allows businesses to introduce meditation as a treatment delivered across the team.

The training includes:

  • Live online teaching across three four-hour sessions
  • Time allocated for home practice
  • Support from a course advisor
  • Teleconference sessions with Tri-Dosha founder Sunita Passi and meditation experts

Participants also gain access to online resources that clients can revisit after their treatment, supporting continued wellbeing beyond the spa visit.

What practitioners gain from the training

By the end of the programme, participants are able to:

• Deliver a 60-minute guided meditation spa treatment
• Facilitate a group meditation class
• Develop deeper skills in holding space and connecting with clients
• Support clients with simple self-care techniques they can continue at home
• Understand how meditation supports immune health, emotional balance, and energy levels

Certification is awarded following:

  • A virtual assessment of the meditation treatment
  • Completion of three case studies for the treatment
  • Completion of three case studies for meditation classes
  • Submission of a personal reflective journal
