EXPLORING THE MIND-BODY CONNECTION THROUGH SOUND THERAPY

With teacher Carly Chamberlain | 20th & 21st January 2026 | Tri-Dosha Studio, Nottingham

At Tri-Dosha, we’ve always believed that true healing begins when the body and mind come back into harmony. This January, we’re deepening that exploration with our newest training – an Introduction to Sound Therapy, a 2-day CPD-accredited course led by Carly Chamberlain, founder of The I.Am.Wellness Method.

Carly has been part of the Tri-Dosha journey for over a decade, supporting our Training Academy in its early years before stepping out to build her own wellness brand, write her first book, and teach internationally. We’re delighted to welcome her back to guide this intimate, six-person training in Nottingham.

The language of vibration

Sound has always been medicine. Long before we had words for energy or frequency, ancient cultures used sound to balance the body and clear the mind – from Sanskrit chanting to Tibetan singing bowls.

When our thoughts and emotions are scattered, our bodies respond. Muscles tighten. The breath shortens. The nervous system goes on alert. Over time, this can manifest as fatigue, tension, or even illness.
Sound healing brings us back into resonance – helping the body “retune” itself so natural balance and self-healing can occur.

What happens in a sound therapy session

When singing bowls vibrate, they create frequencies that travel through the air – and through you.
Clients often report sensations of warmth, flow, or lightness as the body relaxes into these tones.

From a scientific perspective, the vibrations help slow the brain waves, guiding the body into a state similar to deep meditation. Circulation improves. Pain softens. The mind quiets. Emotionally, it can feel like a gentle release – as if something heavy has lifted.

Both the practitioner and the client benefit from this exchange. As sound travels in all directions, it creates a shared field of calm – a space where awareness expands, and presence returns.

The mind–body connection

Many of us live more in our heads than our bodies. We move quickly, think fast, and sometimes forget to pause.
But the body is always listening – to our emotions, our stress, our joy. When we are disconnected from the present moment, we lose that conversation between the mind and the physical form.

Sound healing helps to restore this connection. It grounds us. It invites us to inhabit the body again, with full awareness and compassion.
When body and mind are aligned, we become steadier, more focused, and open to life’s rhythm.

Where there is sound, there is healing

Sound is not just heard – it is felt. It reminds us that healing doesn’t always come through effort, but through stillness, vibration, and trust.

As Carly says, “Sound is one of the simplest and most profound tools we have for reconnecting to ourselves.”

Come experience it for yourself this January – and rediscover the harmony that’s always been within you.
